Yogita Limaye

Journalist, India

Yogita Limaye is a BBC correspondent who covers South Asia. She has been reporting for the BBC since 2012, and has done stints in the US, South Korea and the Middle East. In the past year she has covered the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban, and the second wave of covid in India. 

Yogita covered a range of global stories including the conflict in Syria, the refugee crisis in Greece, tensions between North and South Korea, the Nepal earthquake, the 2008 Mumbai attacks and elections in many South Asian countries. She’s interviewed  a number of international personalities including presidents, prime ministers, sportspersons and entertainers.
