Writers are not born, they are inspired. It is through the works of others, through their words, style, characterisation or narrative technique they have found their own voice. In this session the audience gets to go on a voyage of discovery as authors reveal the books that inspired them to put pen to paper.
Manjiri Indurkar is a poet from Jabalpur in central India. Her work hasappeared in several literary journals and mainline publications. She also writes extensively on Indian art, culture and heritage.
More InfoMeera Rajagopalan’s short fiction has been published in several anthologies. Her debut novel was published in 2021. She is a communications consultant for an NGO based in Pondicherry.
More InfoSandeep Raina was born and raised in Kashmir, where he graduated as an engineer. He has spent much of his life in Delhi, Istanbul and London. His short stories have appeared in mainstream publications in India and internationally, mostly referencing Kashmir, as does his recent debut novel.
