Like any Indian metropolis Mumbai is a mosaic of people drawn from different parts of the country. In the big picture, the stories of smaller, though no less important, communities like the Goan Catholics are often overlooked. Two authors discuss why they chose to turn the spotlight on the neighbourhoods of Cavel and Orlem and how they brought them alive through their characters and setting.
