This workshop employs the works of Stanislaw Lem and focuses on helping the participant deconstruct science fiction as a future being foretold, of writing predictive texts and embarking on writing your own science fiction story

Marek Kadzielski – Philosopher &; Translator, Poland
Marek Kądzielsk is a Polish philosopher, translator and university lecturer, who promotes contemporary Polish philosophers in the Poland Daily Culture programme broadcast in English by Telewizja Republika. He has translated Bertrand Russell’s Power into Polish, and has published reviews of philosophical books in The New Books Polish literary monthly. He works as a legal translator and interpreter for international law firms in Poland, and has also published a handbook entitled Freelancer: a key to success. He is an expert member of the Association of Polish Legal, Court and Economic Translators TEPIS, and a member of the Polish Geopolitical Society.
